It's snowing a lot -- and on a mission to investigate and, perhaps, slay a Primal Beast, that's inconvenient. The snow is likely caused by the Primal Beast, and it's a made a sudden blizzard in summer. Beatrix and Zeta have managed to make their way to a wooden shelter, closed the doors, and done their best to get some heat.
Now, Bea is staring out -- her eyes wide as she looks out the window. The window is halfway filled up with snow.]
Z-Zeta! There's more snow than is POSSIBLY reasonable!
closes my eyes, i am so sorry for the delay, also makes vague gestures at The State of the World
[ A snowstorm in the middle of summer, go figure. It really would be just their (bad) luck to end up on a mission that goes completely haywire less than a day on. On the bright side, neither Eustace nor Vaseraga are here to harp on them; she can only imagine what the two of them would have to say about all this - or more accurately, to look as they gaze in silent disappointment.
On the not bright side, that is a whole lotta snow. ]
Ugh. It's probably the primal beast causing all this.
[ She groans loudly as she stares out the window, mirroring Beatrix's own gaze, though hers is decidedly more annoyed and less shocked. ]
There's no way we can go out in this kind of weather, not with our supplies.
[ They'd packed for SUMMER, not this impromptu blizzard. Awful! And while Zeta might not be the brightest bulb in their Society bunch, even she knows better than to go out in the middle of a snowstorm in bikini bottoms and a tank top. Even if her battle outfit might suggest otherwise. ]
Guess we're just gonna have to hunker up here until it blows over.
[ Is there a fireplace....are there blankets, Astrals above, please let there be blankets, she is too young to freeze to death in the middle of an abandoned wood cottage. ]
[Count their small blessings: they don't have to deal with those looks. Not to say that Beatrix can't complain -- she stares at the snow with an expression positively accusatory after the shock vanishes.
Which isn't unfair. A primal beast is at fault.
She glances at Zeta, and then she nods her head in agreement.] Not in the slightest. I've got shorts, bug spray, mosquito nets, hot dogs, hot dog buns-- [...Bea...] --and the necessities of summer!
[There's a beat, and then she looks around.]
...I think there's a fireplace in the other room. I'm not sure about wood, though...
omg, so sorry, my holidays were busy and then vague motion at the news; lmk if this doesn't work!!

NO WORRIES it's been so intense lately!
